This website is intended to provide information for members of the kink and sex positive communities (though it’s adaptable to many other communities) learn more about the how and why of accountability processes. I hope it provides a starting point for anyone who is looking for some ideas on how they might take accountability in such communities to promote healing and trust. The ideas here will only have a positive effect with genuine intent and dedication to the process.

Accountability Paths came about as the result of going through an accountability process myself. I was lucky to have knowledgeable and experienced people around me who could help me figure out a process where I reflected, learned, and grew. But one of the things that became obvious is that not everyone had the same resources, so this site is intended to help fill in some of those gaps.

I do not have all the answers and this site is assuredly imperfect. I am not an expert, not a therapist, or anything like that. There are assuredly other perspectives out there and you are encouraged to seek them out too. But perhaps this site can provide some guidance for those who need some help to make accountability practices more common, and provide some key points to consider. Normalizing accountability and confronting our mistakes so we can make amends and do better is something I believe we should be striving for.
